Bubble Pop Park & Pixel Pop

Artwork by daniel j kirk

This project consisted of two parts.

Bubble Pop Park

Bubble Pop Park was an experiment in public bubble-making that took place in Tompkins Park on July 15th, 2018. The team created four massive bubble making machines, blowing out hundreds of biodegradable bubbles per second. This one-day public intervention resulted in a spontaneous gathering space, putting smiles on the faces of passers by.

Pixel Pop

Pixel Pop is an ongoing, wacky Augmented Reality (AR) project located at various sites around the Fortis Alberta building. What strange mysteries could be hiding behind a door or buried within a sign? How can our cellular pocket machines help us make Calgary a little more weird?
